The Bobcat Rank is the first rank that EACH new Cub Scout earns. Each boy entering Cub Scouts (no matter what age he is) must complete the Bobcat Rank when joining the Pack.
These requirements are meant to demonstrate that the boy is making a commitment to participating in the scouting program.
Please start working on these requirements so that your son can earn his Babcat Rank at the next Monthly Pack Meeting. Let your Den Leader know when your son is done with these so he can report it to the Pack Committee.

Webelos (say WE-buh-lows) has a special meaning that Cub Scouts know. It is We'll Be Loyal Scouts.
4. Show the CUB SCOUT SIGN and tell what it means:
Make the sign with your right hand and with your arm held straight up. The two fingers stand for two parts of the Promise - "to help other people" and "to obey." They look like a wolf's ears; this means you are ready to listen to Akela.
Give the Cub Scout sign when you say the Cub Scout Promise or the Law of the Pack
