Pack 185 regularly participates in activities year round. Our year starts in September and runs through August. Den activities are sometimes planned for the summer but, as a rule, den meetings are held September through May and we have one to two pack outings/activities each month in June, July and August.

Den Meetings are held weekly usually at the First Street School and the day of the week is specific to your dens needs.  Your Den Leader will let you know what day.  This meeting is where the boys will be working on age specific requirements to earn the current rank they are working on.

Our Pack Meetings are held the third Friday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the First Street School Cafeteria.  This is a family event so that the boys can showcase what they have been working on during the month.  This is where the boys will receive the awards that they have earned during the month.  We also play games, sing songs, do skits, and have a whole lot of fun.

The Parent/Committee Meeting is held on the first Monday of the month at the First Street School Teacher's Lounge at 7:00 p.m. This is where we meet to plan the pack activities.

We beleive in the scout saying " Keep the Outing in Scouting" so we plan one outing each month.  Some outing are set in stone such as Twilight Camp held in June. Lincoln's Fourth of July Parade, Lincoln's Christmas Parade held in December and Resident Camp held in July/August.  Most all other outings are planned in August at the Annual Planning Meeting.

**Please remember that you do not have to participate in every single meeting or outing, But the more you participate the more your son will get out of this wonderful program.

Uniforms are a key part of the Scouting program. Our pack is an "above the waist" pack. By this, only the uniform parts from the belt up are required. These include:

- Shirt with proper insignia
- Official Scout Hat (appropriate for rank)
- Official Scout Belt
- Neckerchief and Slide (appropriate for rank)

For pants, the boys can wear any dark blue pants, including blue jeans and shorts. Lighter color pants or non-blue pants are not appropriate. The red "brag vest", where the boys can show off their patches, may be worn but please keep in mind that it is not part of the official uniform.

**We do have resources for families that need financial assistance with uniforming.  Pack 185 does not want to see any boy not get to participate in scouts because of financial issues.  Please contact the Committee Chair or Cubmaster for assistance.
